"Refuge"

ISO 200 f/4 1/60th of a second  100 mm lens under studio lighting conditions

This truly amazing piece titled "Refuge" created by Linda L. Jones a wonderful artist and friend she gifted this to Nancy a couple of weeks ago she asked me to photograph it for her, I only hope that I did it justice. It currently hangs in our home in a place where Nancy and I both can look at it every day.

Sydney is our Chow Chow, she is not a fan of photography and it is not easy to get a photograph of her but every once in a while you get lucky

Along the Road: In the Rain

I like taking black and white photographs, while color gives you a "real life" perspective, there is nothing quite like the power this scene represents when displayed in this format.

The color image of this same photograph is below so that you can see what I mean.

Along the Road: Clift in the Rain

28 August 2011 will be known as the day that
Hurricane Irene passed through Vermont leaving
in her wake considerable destruction.
This is what I was able to capture about today.

Normally when I post photographs of bead work it is from a single source, my
enormously talented wife Nancy.

This time the artists is Jennifer Chasalow VanBenschoten,
as you can see she is very a talented.
