Winter Water

Many of my photographs are made to provoke thought;
Study the image and what do you see? Glimpse the image and what do you feel?

Descent

New Ice formed; I had been thinking about an ice shot for several days but didn't have allot of time to put it together. All winter we've had hanging ice when I finally made up my mind and set out to shoot the ice, it had all gone the warm weather we have been experiencing melted it all away. This afternoon after returning from the store I found we had "New Ice" hanging and took this shot. I think I'm going to shoot it again using a little different setup but this is the current result.

Lynn Berry

Nancy created this set (which is untitled at present) as a commission, and what a result! Nancy is very talented and I enjoy photographing her work. I almost always do the photography work just after the final stitch is added as I enjoy it very much.

Studio

Today I didn't have to leave early for appointments, so I took some photograph in my studio for Nancy. I thought I would share a
glimpse of my studio, I photograph all of Nancy's Jewelry here. My space is ever evolving and is big enough to shoot most anything that I can get to the second floor. I like working in here and I have the benefit of being able to leave my sets in place only having to tear down when a different type of shot is need. It's allot of fun!! ;-))

I like photographing dogs, sometimes with props; it can produce some very interesting
results. The key to any animal photograph is getting to their level; often I see pictures taken of animals where the photographer’s perspective is looking down at them.

Photographs where the subject is looking at you aways produce excellent results and allow the animal’s personality to shine through.

Dryad

Dryad is my wife most intricate pieces of jewelry and one of my favorites and is
one of the reasons I started taking photographs again.

Portal

This morning while walking the dogs I started to notice windows, and how many different things can be considered “windows” and how important they are in our lives. After taking care of the dogs, I retrieved my camera and shot several images.

This one I call “Portal.” It struck me that all windows are also portals; a location that overlooks or glimpses another.

The picture was shot with my Sony Digital Camera at ISO 64 f/7.1 shutter speed 1/100
